The problem of bearing seal ring falling off easily

Falling off of bearing seal ring means that the seal ring falls out of the seal groove. The firmness of the seal ring after assembly is verified by drop test. The reason for the seal ring falling off is that the interference between the seal ring flange and the outer ring seal groove step is too small, and the length of the straight section of the seal ring head near the flange is too small. Therefore, the assembly firmness can be increased by increasing the size of the sealing ring flange and lengthening the straight length a of the sealing ring head near the flange (see the figure below). At the same time, the width b of the sealing ring flange should be appropriately increased in the limited space of the existing sealing groove to increase the contact area of the sealing ring in the groove. The larger the contact area is, the greater the friction between the sealing ring and the outer ring will be, The more difficult the sealing ring is to loosen and rotate, the more firm the sealing ring is.
The bearing seal ring does not fit the bearing seal ring does not fit the inner lip after the seal ring is assembled and does not stick to the outer spherical surface of the inner ring, which is usually called the bell mouth. Seal ring does not fit will reduce the sealing performance of the bearing, thus affecting product quality. The reasons are as follows

② The inner lip of sealing ring is too thin and easy to deform;
③ The sealing ring cannot be reset after installation.
According to the different causes, it is treated separately
① If the interference of the inner lip of the bearing seal ring is too small, the interference of the inner lip of the bearing seal ring must be increased. The unilateral interference f is calculated according to the following formula; F = (d2-d1) / 2 + e, where: D2 - Lip diameter of sealing ring; D1 - inner ring section diameter; E - unilateral interference of sealing ring lip under normal condition.
② The bell mouth caused by the deformation of the inner lip of the bearing seal ring is mainly because the inner lip is too thin, and the lip of the seal ring is deformed during the unloading process of injection molding. Therefore, in this case, the thickness of the inner lip of the seal ring must be increased (see the shadow in the figure below);
③ When the bearing seal ring is not reset, the bell mouth is caused. During the swing of the bearing, the head a of the seal ring is stuck in the seal groove and cannot return to the original state. Therefore, the outer diameter size of the seal ring or the head width size of the seal ring must be reduced.
