Check the tightness between bearing and shaft shoulder

Generally, the bearing installed with tight fit and interference must be close to the shaft shoulder. Test method:
(1) Lighting method. That is, aim the electric light at the bearing and shaft shoulder, and judge the light leakage. If there is no light leakage, the installation is correct; If there is even light leakage around the shaft shoulder, it means that the bearing is not close to the shaft shoulder, so pressure should be applied to the bearing to make it close; If there is some light leakage, it means that the bearing installation is inclined. You can use a hammer, copper bar or sleeve to knock the inner ring of the bearing and slowly install it.
(2) Gauge test method. The thickness of the thickness gauge shall start from 0.03mm. During the inspection, try to insert several places on the end face of bearing inner ring and the whole circumference of shaft shoulder. If the gap is found and it is very uniform, it means that the bearing is not installed in place. The bearing inner ring should be pressurized to make it close to the shaft shoulder;
If it is not reliable to increase the pressure, it means that the fillet of the journal fillet is too large and the bearing is stuck. The journal fillet should be trimmed to make it smaller; If it is found that the thickness gauge of some parts of bearing inner ring end face and bearing shoulder can pass, it means that it must be removed, repaired and re installed at this time.
If the bearing is installed in the bearing seat hole with interference fit and the bearing outer ring is fixed by the shell hole shoulder, whether the outer ring end face is close to the shell hole shoulder end face and whether the installation is correct can also be inspected with a thickness gauge.
When installing the thrust bearing, check the verticality of the shaft ring and the shaft center line. The method is to fix the dial indicator on the end face of the case, so that the contact of the dial indicator is on the raceway of the bearing shaft ring, while rotating the bearing, observe the pointer of the dial indicator, if the pointer deviates, it means that the shaft ring and the shaft center line are not vertical. When the hole of the box shell is deep, the extended micrometer gauge can also be used for inspection.
When the thrust bearing is installed correctly, its seat ring can automatically adapt to the rolling of the rolling element to ensure that the rolling element is located in the upper and lower ring raceway. If it is installed reversely, not only the bearing does not work normally, but also the mating surfaces will be seriously worn. As the difference between the shaft ring and the seat ring is not obvious, special care should be taken in the assembly.
In addition, there should be a clearance of 0.2-0.5mm between the thrust bearing race and the bearing race hole to compensate for the error caused by inaccurate parts processing and installation. When the center of the bearing race deviates during operation, this clearance can ensure its automatic adjustment, avoid contact and friction, and make it operate normally. Otherwise, the bearing will be severely damaged.
Check whether the noise, temperature rise and vibration of the bearing meet the requirements. Generally, the working temperature of the bearing should be lower than 90 ℃. If the temperature is too high, the bearing will be heated, annealed or burned, and the service life will be reduced.
