Safety problems in bearing disassembly.
Bearing disassembly
1. Strike bearing
Striking the bearing may lead to the crushing of some bearing steel parts. Some brittle elements may be used inside the bearing, and the debris of steel parts can cause serious impact.
2. Gas cutting bearing
If the bearing is cut by gas, the grease may catch fire or explode, the gas generated by burning the seal may cause lung damage, and the melted seal may cause skin burns, so you must wear PVC gloves for treatment. Gas cutting of bearings shall be avoided as far as possible.
3. Fluorinated rubber
Fluorinated rubber can produce hydrofluoric acid gas at ultra-high temperature (about 300 ℃), which is seriously harmful to human body; Molten materials can burn through clothing and burn skin.
4. Protective equipment removed by non recommended methods
When using non recommended methods to disassemble the bearing, at least the following protective equipment shall be equipped: a full set of mask and safety eyes, a full set of protective clothing and gloves.
5. Sealing precautions
Remove the seal before gas cutting
Possible causes when the bearing cannot be removed with conventional puller: too tight pressure fit; Excessive corrosion; The bearing and shaft have been integrated. Solution: select a larger type of puller, and it is recommended to use a puller whose maximum opening width is 50% larger than the outer diameter of the bearing; Try to knock the bearing and then pull it out; Penetration with antirust oil, and then rapid drawing; Heat the bearing slightly (pay attention not to damage the shaft). Then draw quickly, pour hot (< 150 ℃) oil on the bearing, and then draw quickly; Special devices such as hydraulic jacks can be used for some bearings.
