1. Material of shaft parts
45 steel is commonly used. The shaft with high precision can be 40Cr, bearing steel GCr15, spring steel 65Mn, and ductile iron; For high speed and heavy-duty shafts, 20CrMnTi, 20mn2b, 20Cr and other low carbon alloy steels or 38CrMoAl nitriding steel are selected.
2-axis blank
Commonly used round bar materials and forgings; The casting is used for large shafts or shafts with complex structure. After the billet is heated and forged, the fiber structure inside the metal can be evenly distributed along the surface, and the tensile, bending and torsional strength can be obtained.
Heat treatment of shaft parts
Before the forging blank is processed, normalizing or annealing treatment is required to refine the internal grain of steel, eliminate forging stress, reduce material hardness and improve cutting performance. The conditioning and tempering is usually arranged after the rough car and before the semi refined car to obtain good physical and mechanical properties. Surface quenching is usually arranged before finishing, which can correct the local deformation caused by quenching. The shaft with high precision needs to be aged at low temperature after local quenching or rough grinding.
